KIWI TRAVELLERS TARGETED IN $1M INITIATIVE

GOLD Coast Tourism (GCT) has launched a $1 million advertising campaign to keep the Kiwis coming back for more.

It is the largest promotional campaign push from Gold Coast Tourism in New Zealand for over three years.

GCT boss Martin Winter says New Zealand holiday makers are enthusiastic and a vitally important market that deserves to be ‘kept abreast of the many new and exciting things happening on the Gold Coast’.

“Over the past 18 months there has been more than $3 billion in tourism related development on the Gold Coast. That means there are all kinds of new hotels, resorts, attractions, and adventures to experience along with the already unrivalled variety of famous Gold Coast fun,” he says.

“This is also the first chance we have had to really expand on the Gold Coast Famous for Fun message in New Zealand with television commercials, digital advertising and extended print space to show that fun means different things to different.”

Famous for Fun is a co-branded initiative by GCT and Tourism Queensland to sell Gold Coast as a tourism destination by promoting the climate, beaches, theme parks, entertainment and wealth of activities.
