Accenture acquires Adelaide's PrimeQ, strengthening its Oracle Cloud capabilities

The acquisition of PrimeQ is set to make Accenture the largest operator of Oracle Cloud systems in Australia and New Zealand.

Accenture has acquired Adelaide based PrimeQ, one of the top Oracle Software service providers in the Australia and New Zealand region.

As reported by the Australian Financial Review, the sale of PrimeQ is estimated to be worth around $31 million. Accenture declined to confirm the accuracy of this figure.

The South Australian company is a leading provider of Oracle Cloud in the government, health and public services industries, and also serves clients in the retail, consumer goods and financial services sectors.

James Madigan, who leads Accenture's Oracle business in Australia and New Zealand, says the acquisition of PrimeQ will transform the company's capabilities and industry knowledge to help clients unlock further value.

"PrimeQ has extensive experience implementing Oracle SaaS (software as a service) Cloud solutions, which complements Accenture's established credentials across the Oracle Cloud portfolio," says Madigan.

"They are a highly valued Oracle ecosystem partner, bringing an impressive track record and top talent that will help drive significant results for our clients."

The Adelaide based PrimeQ was established in 2016 and has already built extensive capabilities in Oracle SaaS Cloud enterprise resource planning.

The company was awarded Oracle Specialised Partner of the Year awards in 2017 and 2018.

PrimeQ CEO Andrew McAdams (pictured left) is excited about the possibilities for clients following the acquisition.

"PrimeQ is very pleased to join Accenture as it will help create good outcomes for our customers, our people and our shareholders," says McAdams.

"Together, Accenture and PrimeQ will provide our clients with unrivalled Oracle services and enable them to accelerate their digital transformation."
