BATTERY World has recorded 20 per cent revenue growth and general manager James Nixon-Smith says the franchise will continue to expand.

Nixon-Smith says the need for batteries is even greater in an unpredictable economy as a more affordable alternative to replacing products.

In the first quarter the franchise’s revenue grew by 12 per cent nationally and is expected to be more than $60 million this F/Y.

"In a tough retail environment this indicates we are well positioned to achieve consistent and solid results for the year ahead," says Nixon-Smith.

Battery World is currently focused on recruiting new franchisees in southeast Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne to join the 74-store network across Australian and New Zealand.

"Batteries are a part of everyday life and as portable technology — which is dependent on batteries — continues to flourish, so too will Battery World," says Nixon-Smith.
