State of the capital conference

BRISBANE will host the nation’s first ever State of the Capital Conference on March 18 at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
The inaugural forum will address how the city can continue to diversify and grow its economy as a global city, with speakers from a variety of fields including economic development, infrastructure, tourism and property.
These key political and businesses leaders, academics and industry experts will look at how Brisbane will drive growth and remain competitive.
These speakers will discuss current opportunities and constraints, with reference to sustainability, planning and infrastructure challenges, and how Brisbane is perceived around the world.
The event will go from 9am to 2pm and will be hosted by Lord Mayor Campbell Newman, with mediation from ABC journalist Lisa Millar.
The event will also include Chang-Koo Lee, Deputy Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City in Korea.
