FREE LUNCH BY TOP CHEFS FOR A CAUSE

FREE LUNCH BY TOP CHEFS FOR A CAUSE
NEIL Perry, Matt Moran and Maggie Beer (pictured) are among a stellar line-up helping host OzHarvest's fourth annual Think.Eat.Save event at lunchtime today.

An array of high profile chefs and hospitality companies will prepare free hot lunch made from surplus food for Australian non-profit OzHarvest, which is the nation's first and leading food rescue charity.

OzHarvest is the official partner of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and aims to bring attention to the alarming amount of food wasted in Australia and around the world.

Think.Eat.Save is happening simultaneously in 11 locations around Australia in both capital and regional cities, underpinned by the hashtag #PledgeAPlate.

Starting at 11.30am, the event will run for three hours. The public is encouraged to check online for their nearest event.

Participants will get the opportunity to rub shoulders with the biggest names in food in Australia including George Calombaris, Costa Georgiadis, Joost Bakker, Maggie Beer, Simon Bryant and Keith Conlon.

Read about the story behind OzHarvest, where anger and purpose collided for founder Ronni Kahn.
