CEO AT SEYMOUR WHYTE RESIGNS

SEYMOUR Whyte Limited (ASX:SWL) CEO and managing director David McAdam (pictured) has left the construction and engineering firm.

McAdam joined the company as CEO in July 2012 and was appointed as managing director the following year. His resignation is effective immediately.

He was instrumental in the company's first acquisition of utilities company Rob Carr Pty Ltd last year.

Seymour Whyte will conduct a search process for a new CEO, while the separate divisions of the business will continue to operate as normal.

General manager Gary Georgiou will manage the Seymour Whyte construction side and CEO Rob Carr will run his eponymous business.

Chairman Mac Drysdale says McAdam provided the company with strong leadership during his tenure.

"The board will commence a recruitment process for a new chief executive officer shortly," Drysdale says.

"The board has every confidence in Gary and Rob to run their respective businesses and both Gary and Rob will now report directly to the board.

"The non-executive directors have also made themselves available to provide support to the business until a replacement CEO is found."

Drysdale says the board thanks McAdam for his contribution and wishes him well as he pursues other opportunities.
