BUYERS SNAP UP ALMOST HALF OF BOHEMIA

TURRISI Properties has sold almost half of its Bohemia development in Brisbane, with $17.5 million in off-the-plan apartment sales during its first week on the market.

The $51 million project in West End will comprise 94 residences across a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, starting at $390,000.

Turrisi Properties managing director Gaetano Turrisi says purchasers have been owner-occupiers, including some first home buyers.

"Our long standing connection to the area allows us to understand the suburb's fabric and culture," Turrisi says.

"We know what West End needs and producing apartments where people want to live has been the key to our success."

The developer has appointed ROTHELOWMAN to design Bohemia, in a bid to set it apart in an 'increasingly competitive' apartment market.

The architect has designed a singular tower with a dual façade to reflect two elements of West End, including the suburb's past warehouses and white panelling for timber and tin cottages.

Sales agent Richard Lawrence of Position Property says Bohemia has exceeded expectations of locals.

"We received great feedback from people in the area," Lawrence says.

"Features like the rooftop pool and views of Mount Coot-tha have been major drawcards for buyers who are looking for not only a great home, but also a lifestyle choice.

"After a great first weekend, we are looking forward to strong sales moving forward."

Construction on Bohemia is expected to be complete in late-2017. It follows the success of Turrisi Properties' neighbouring West End projects, The Glass Factory and INK Apartments.
