THE NEW AGE OF WORK CHRISTMAS PARTIES

As the traditional workplace has changed so too has any notion of a traditional work Christmas party.

Companies are looking for fun experiences, events that acknowledge the contribution of families and events that give to a cause.

As a result, Corporate Challenge Events has seen inquiries for its events such as Hunt for Santa's Sleigh, Christmas Cluedo, and A Christmas Dinner increase as businesses look for alternatives to the traditional boozy party.

Corporate Challenge Events managing director and co-founder Dwain Richardson (pictured) says his team can assist businesses large and small across Australia and New Zealand with new ideas for their work Christmas parties.

"We are seeing activities like family days, overnight retreats, destination experiences, and charity team building activities, are just as popular as the traditional cocktail or dinner reception at a nice venue," says Richardson.

"These events are planned not only to be a social and fun occasion, but an opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of staff and their family, to reinforce company values, create team bonding experiences and give back to the community."

There are two simple tips for businesses that are considering their Christmas party options for 2016:

  • It is important to know what your budget is. This will help you quickly work out a scope for your plans including venue, catering, accommodation, transport and entertainment.
  • Once you understand your budget, then work out who you wish to attend, particularly if you want to make this an event for more than just staff.

So do something fun and different for your work Christmas party this year by getting Corporate Challenge Events to run your event.
