RAY WHITE SURFERS TEAMS WITH V8 SUPERCARS FOR LONG LUNCH

RAY White Surfers Paradise has shifted gears for its annual Sportsman’s Lunch, teaming up with V8 Supercars to launch a new-look event to help local lifesavers.

The new look V8 Supercars in Business Lunch, to be held on October 23 at Jupiters Casino, will be hosted by media personality and former cricketer Greg Ritchie.

RWSP director Greg Bell said it was great to be teaming up with V8 Supercars just ahead of one of the Gold Coast’s biggest events.

“Teaming up with V8 Supercars made a lot of sense to us - V8 Supercars are not only increasingly aligned with business community, they’re a Gold Coast events icon,” he says.

“It is great timing for our annual charity lunch as business leaders from across the country will be in town for the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600.

“We’re hoping the lunch will add to the buzz and anticipation that always surrounds this iconic event.

“I urge the city’s movers and shakers to get involved in what will be a fun, entertaining and quintessentially Gold Coast entrée to the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600.”

All proceeds from the event will go to Surfers Paradise and Southport Surf Life Saving Clubs.

V8 Supercars chief operating officer Shane Howard says the sportsman’s style event is a great opportunity for Australia’s premier motorsport category to engage with local and interstate business people ahead of the city’s largest annual event.

“The V8 Supercars in Business Lunch is a great way for our teams and drivers to engage with the business community and share what our company and sport is all about,” says Howard.

“The Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600 is one of our signature events. It’s set along one of Australia’s most iconic tourist destinations and it’s fantastic that Ray White Surfers Paradise have partnered with us for this opportunity.

“We are ready for a fantastic weekend of entertainment at this year’s Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600 and what a great way to kick it all off by attending a sportsman’s style luncheon where all proceeds go to our event charity partner.”

Bell says the event is in aid of a worthy cause ahead of Surf Life Saving’s busiest season.

“Our annual charity events, which also include the upcoming Muscular Dystrophy Ball, are our way of being part of this community and giving back,” he says.

“We love creating great events for the Gold Coast that get people together for a good time and produce substantial benefit for worthy causes.

“This lunch comes at an ideal time to raise funds for Surf Life Saving as we head into summer.”
