VILLA WORLD LAUNCHES ITS BIGGEST QUEENSLAND PROJECT
NATIONAL residential developer Villa World has unveiled its largest Queensland project to date with the launch of the 1502-lot Covella masterplanned community at Greenbank in Logan City, near Brisbane.

Developed as a joint venture with Ron and Tony Perich's Greenfields Development Corporation, Covella will rise on a 153-hectare semi-rural site bought for $50 million last year.

Covella will comprise four individual precincts set amid parkland, bushland, gardens and sports fields, and will deliver a diversity of high quality yet affordable residential options for Logan's surging population.

Covella cements Villa World's long-term commitment to the expanding Logan corridor, coming just weeks after the release of its 300-lot Chambers Ridge project at Park Ridge and the launch late last year of the 726-lot Killara community at Logan Reserve.

Villa World CEO and managing director Craig Treasure said the push into Logan City was a natural progression for the company given the area's emergence as a central growth corridor with a rapidly rising population.

Mr Treasure said Covella would present a high quality residential option for families as Logan's population soared from 310,000 currently to almost 500,000 by 2031.

"Our aim is that Covella will become the number one lifestyle choice for Logan families," he says.

"It will offer a wide array of new housing options and styles at affordable prices from some of Australia's best builders.

"Our vision goes beyond providing housing; it's about building liveable, connected and attractive communities where families can thrive and feel truly at home.

"Covella's focus will be on promoting an active and healthy outdoor-oriented lifestyle for residents with a wealth of recreational and sporting amenities, green spaces and bushland surrounding them."

Logan City Mayor Luke Smith has welcomed Villa World's investment in the region.

Lots at Covella will be priced from $209,000 and will range in size from 350sqm to more than 2000sqm.

With almost 50-hectares, or more than a third of the entire site, is devoted to green and open space, giving Covella residents easy access to a planned central market garden, parkland, walking and bike paths, bushland, sports fields, playgrounds and exercise hubs.

Covella will be developed in 27 stages over the next five to seven years and will eventually be home to 4000 people.

Located 34km south of the Brisbane CBD, Covella is close to primary and secondary schools, while the University of Southern Queensland is also ideally located just 15 minutes away.

Covella is also serviced by the Greenbank Shopping Centre and the Pub Lane Tavern just 1km down the road and it is just a short drive to major shopping at Springfield Lakes and Grand Plaza.

Residents will be just 12 minutes from Greater Springfield and have easy access to major arterial roads such as the Logan and Centenary motorways.

Covella's launch follows the outstanding sales success of the Killara community at Logan Reserve, which has become the fastest selling project in Villa World's portfolio since its release to the market late last year.
