Find out how AI, tech and innovation will be the future for Aussie tourism

The Gold Coast is undeniably Australia's top tourist destination but capitalising on the business brought by millions of visitors each year is no simple task.

That's why tourism is perpetually in need of innovators, particularly in the tech space, who will take the industry to the next level.

This year the event will be held on 19-21 June at RACV Royal Pines Gold Coast and will be headlined by keynote speakers including the Minister for Innovation, Tourism Industry Development Kate Jones, futurist Michael McQueen, former executive director of Lonely Planet Gus Balbontin and former Getaway star Natalie Gruzlewski will be co-hosting the Gala Dinner event.

There are also three massive night events, including a Welcome Party on the Green, Night of the Dead Party at Movie World and a Gala Dinner Extravaganza. You can expect to enjoy dodgem cars, food trucks, exclusive use of roller coasters, world-class entertainment and more.

MC Anthony Laye (pictured right), an expert in leadership and influence, will host the three-day event that is packed with speakers across a wide range of tourism industry sectors.

Proving the future is at the fingertips of the industry, an artificial intelligence guest assistant called NEW.B.I.E. will be on show with a presentation on how AI and machine learning is making waves in the tourism industry, as well as teaching attendees how to embrace it and what opportunities it can bring.

Google Hotel Ads, IDeaS Revenue Management, XERO, Poolwerx, Assa Abloy, NewBook and more will be hosting workshops teaching delegates how best to make the most of the ground-breaking technology currently on the market, along with practical tips and tricks on each product.
