Fastbrick Australia enters into strategic partnership with WA home builder

Robotic wall building company FBR Australia (ASX: FBR) has announced its latest play in Western Australia, partnering with a leading home builder in the state.

The group's joint venture with Brickworks Building Products called Fastbrick Australia has entered into a building pilot program with Summit Homes Group.

It follows two similar agreements with WA home builder Archistruct Builders & Designers and Mexican construction Grupo GP.

The program consists of three stages during which Fastbrick's Wall as a Service (WaaS) robotic technology will be demonstrated.

Ultimately, the program will see Fastbrick construct a display home to demonstrate to potential customers what the group's Hadrian X WaaS technology is capable of in a residential home construction scenario.

"The Building Pilot Program with Summit is another important step in Fastbrick Australia's introduction of the Wall as a Service model to the Australian market," says FBR CEO Simon Amos.

"Summit have an exceptional track record as a home builder in Western Australia and we are excited to be collaborating with them to demonstrate the capabilities of the Hadrian X and the impact of WaaS on the broader building process."

Summit COO David Hunt says the group is excited to partner with Fastbrick Australia.

"We are looking forward to working with Fastbrick Australia and seeing first-hand what the Hadrian X is capable of," says Hunt.

"Using a range of Summit's award-winning home designs in the Building Pilot Program will give us the opportunity to see how WaaS can streamline our projects and inform some of our building processes."

Over the last 40 years Summit have constructed over 40,000 new homes in Western Australia.

"Summit builds for the varied, dynamic and diverse needs of our clients, and to do this, we are constantly creating agile home designs with a focus on innovative construction methods to suit all block types, budgets and lifestyles," says Hunt.

"Fastbrick Australia's approach to innovation is strongly aligned with ours, and we are pleased to be working with them."
