Esports Mogul speeds ahead to 1 million registered users

Listed esports company Esports Mogul (ASX: ESH) has quickly reached a new milestone of one million registered users on its platform.

These figures were mostly achieved in just the last six weeks during which the company added approximately 620,000 new registered users an increase of 163 per cent since December.

The company says the increase is largely attributed to the integration of new game titles in preparation for Silver Slam it's upcoming Asia Pacific gaming tournament.

The inaugural tournament series has seen users sign up on its matchmaking platform Mogul.gg enticed by both the $275,000 prize pool and the suite of games recently added to the service.

Those games included Fortnite (with over 200 million players worldwide), Overwatch, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The company also says that user acquisition was driven by accelerated marketing activity and strategic partnerships with gaming giants like Razer Inc and South East Asia's largest exports organisation Mineski.

Esports Mogul says monetisation features are currently in development and commercialisation is a key focus of the company's operations following this successful wave of user acquisition.

Shares in Esports Mogul are up 5.56 per cent to $0.02 per share at 11.20am AEDT.
