RAPID GROWTH FOR WEB PIONEER

RAPID GROWTH FOR WEB PIONEER

Bloomtools will be a company to watch next year as a new joint venture agreement will boost its franchises from 10 to 150.

The web design and internet marketing company, founded by James Greig, 29, sustained 30 per cent revenue growth this year to $3.3 million. Up to 60 per cent growth is expected next year.

Greig says details of the joint venture agreement, which will fuel the expansion, will be made public soon.

“This deal will make us the Australian leader in our space,” he says.

Greig’s event management software IVvy, which is about 12 months old, contributed strongly to the bottom line in the last quarter of the financial year.

“With iVvy our clients get a range of powerful tools for publishing, promoting and managing their conferences and event,” he says.

The businesses, which collectively employ 46 people, are bucking the trend in market uncertainty and have grown at rapid rates.

“The last quarter saw iVvy generate about 60 per cent of the entire previous four quarters,” says Greig.

“iVvy is about to launch some new software for venue management which is where we are currently focused.”

Greig credits a number of mentors with helping guide his business to success.

“Being a successful entrepreneur is about understanding that sometimes the simplest way to not make mistakes along the way is to learn from the mistakes others have made,” he says.
