Marine industry recognised

MARINE identity Barry Jenkins has been highly commended during the inaugural 2009 Australian Marine Industry Export Awards in the marine industry export category.

Jenkins was recognised for his work in attracting an international contingent to the Sanctuary Cove International Boast Show. Aqualuma Underwater Lighting was also highly commended in the best marine industry export marketing strategy.

AIMEX chief executive MaryAnne Edwards, says the excellence, innovation, expertise, quality and skills that are displayed in the Australian marine export sector shows why Australia has such standing on the global stage.

“The number and calibre of entries and the strong sponsorship support these inaugural awards attracted is testament to the high profile and credibility that AIMEX has achieved within the marine export sector,” says Edwards.
