Former Queensland Deputy Premier joins Holding Redlich

Former Queensland attorney-general and deputy premier, Paul Lucas, will join national law firm Holding Redlich as a consultant based in its Brisbane office.

Originally a lawyer, Lucas held the position of Queensland Deputy Premier for four years and was in the Queensland State Government for 11.

His role at Holden Redlich will be to advise the company on further development of the firms practice in Queensland and provide advice to clients.

Lucas says he is delighted to be joining Holding Redlich and is enthusiastic to offer his experience.

"I'm very excited to be joining a firm of this calibre and reputation and i'm greatly looking foward to working with the firms partners, staff and clients," he says.

"Having been a lawyer in a private practice, a senior Minister and the states first law officer, I can offer some unique perspectives to Holding Redlich and its clients."

Holding Redlich's Queensland Managing Partner Paul Venus says: "We have an extensive national practice advising and supporting government and government-owned enterprises.

"As a former Attorney-General and senior Minister Paul Lucas has unique skills, experience and insights to assist our clients in the public and private sectors."

"Paul Lucas joins us at an exciting time for Queensland - we are seeing solid business growth in the local economy and significant confidence in the market.

"He will be a great asset to our firm as we assist our clients in navigating a rapidly-changing business landscape," Mr Venus says.
