DELIVERY STARTUP MOBEY PARTNERS WITH NIGHTOWL
MOBEY has partnered with NightOwl Convenience, a hoot for the Gold Coast startup in a competitive food delivery market.

The delivery app can now deliver hundreds of NightOwl products to the doors of south east Queensland residents.

This builds on its existing capacity where it delivers food and alcohol from more than 20 restaurants and cafes.

MOBEY CEO Manne Padowitz says there are more than 400 MOBEY deliveries each week to customers in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

He expects this to be ramped up when the NightOwl partnership goes live today.

"We expect to see significant growth in orders from people looking to purchase anything from newspapers and frozen drinks to staple household cleaning products," says Padowitz.

NightOwl CEO Craig Urquhart says this is a boon for the bottom line of his franchisees through in-app purchasing.

The next step for MOBEY is launching an 'on boarding' portal that businesses can include on their website that allows customers to order effortlessly.

In less than five months, MOBEY has grown into a database of 1191 registered drivers delivering to 3300 MOBEY customers and expanded into the Brisbane market.

Popular food delivery services in Sydney and Melbourne, such as UberEATS, Deliveroo and Foodora, are yet to launch on the Gold Coast.

None of these platforms have a partnership with NightOwl, and have taken more of a focus to securing partnerships with leading restaurants in their respective markets.

MOBEY originally launched as Muber. The startup bent to the legal might of Uber after the San Francisco-based company concluded it was too close to their brand.
