BLUE SKY RAISES THE BAR WITH ROOFTOP POOL

BLUE Sky Private Real Estate plans to push the boundaries of design with one of Australia's first sky pools at its latest development in Brisbane.

The Blue Sky Alternative Investments (ASX:BLA) division's residential project Florence features two towers connected by a pool suspended 25m in the air.

Located at Flora Street in Greenslopes, Florence comprises 107 apartments across eight storeys and is targeted at the owner-occupier market.

Blue Sky enlisted AG Architects, interior designers Merge Interiors and landscapers Form LA to tap into a new generation of city dwellers who seek locality over house and land.

Blue Sky Private Real Estate investment manager Edan Norris says demand for luxury three-bedroom apartments was on the rise in Brisbane.

"Demand for quality owner-occupier stock has risen in the last six months, driven by the strong local housing market and mature couples seeking to downsize from their family homes," Norris says.

"These empty nesters demand very well thought-out apartments. Separation between bedrooms, larger floor plans and well-considered kitchen and storage are in demand.

"Florence's most ground-breaking feature is the roof top swimming pool and its deck which bridges the two buildings, offering residents spectacular city views while swimming laps."

AG Architects director Adam Garton says Florence and its eye-catching pool would help define Brisbane's south skyline.

"Florence residents will enjoy features such as a cinema, landscaped gardens, bicycle storage and an outdoor kitchen with lounge facilities - these new living spaces replace the traditional backyard without needing to spend weekends on upkeep," Garton says.

One bedroom apartments with one car park start at $379,000, two bedroom, two bath and one car park start at $469,000 and three bedroom, two bathroom and two car parks start at $655,000.

Construction will commence in June 2016 and is due to be completed by September 2017.
