LORD MAYOR'S BUSINESS AWARDS NOW OPEN

THE sixth annual Lord Mayor’s Business Awards are now open and Brisbane businesses are encouraged to nominate.

The Lord Mayor’s Business Awards (LMBA) celebrate the achievements and exceptional contributions of businesses and individuals to Brisbane.

Award nominations are open for an eight week period until the end of July before the award category winners and platinum winner is announced at a gala dinner held on October 12 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition centre.

Lord Mayor Graham Quirk says celebrating Brisbane’s business achievements was of immense importance after a challenging start to 2011.

“The Lord Mayor’s Business Awards not only reward business excellence, they provide an opportunity to recognise the incredible strength and resilience of our business community,” he says.

“I encourage all organisations to nominate for the awards and look forward to seeing our city’s spirit of optimism and innovation.”
