The campaign positions Brisbane as the more comfortable city in the winter season and with a thriving entertainment and events scene.
“Brisbane offers something for even the most one-eyed Sydneysiders including an exclusive events calendar, world-class restaurants, enviable weather, lifestyle and natural attractions,” says tourism minister Jann Stuckey.
“The marketing blitz will give Sydneysiders pause for thought on their frosty winter mornings.”
The campaign has recruited Sydney KIIS FM presenter Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross as an ambassador to showcase his Brisbane adventures via radio, online and television.
“Rosso has been treated to a small taste of the region’s holiday experiences from sand tobogganing on Moreton Island, dining in Fortitude Valley and abseiling at Kangaroo Point Cliffs,” says Stuckey.
The new campaign is a continuation of the summer campaign, which had more than 29 million online impressions and generated 85,000 clicks to the campaign website.
