WHAT A GRAND VIEW

WHAT A GRAND VIEW

HARBOUR Grand Hong Kong offers a touch of class and luxury with spectacular sea views – the perfect place to mix business and pleasure.

Nestled beside the sparkling Victoria Harbour, the hotel’s state-of-the-art facilities, friendly staff and convention facilities offer a memorable venue for all occasions.

There are 554 rooms ranging from 36 to 104sqm in area with 48 serviced suites for the more discerning of guests. All suites have a kitchen, living space, master bathroom and spare bedroom.

Serviced suites come fully furnished with custom interior design. Standard features include air-conditioning, in-room electronic safe, kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, satellite television, on-demand movies, daily maid service, daily newspaper, fax line and wireless broadband internet.

Those impressed by partial harbour views can try the one-bedroom Plaza Suites (82sqm), Fountain Suites (81sqm) or Whampoa Suites (94sqm). Or to fully appreciate the complete panoramic view, you should consider the one-bedroom Ocean Suites (98sqm) and Captain Suites (104sqm).

Corporate events

Harbour Grand can accommodate groups of up to 600 guests for poolside corporate cocktails, round-table meetings, large conventions or grand balls with customised banquet menus. Business and IT support is also available.

The Grand Ballroom is popular for annual general meetings, high-tech press conferences and other large-scale events. The ballroom has more than 418sqm of unobstructed chandelier-adorned space.

Perched at the top of a grand marble staircase, the Grand Salon offers a plush meeting area with panoramic harbour views through windows extending from the floor to ceiling. It is the only venue with a private pre-function area that is perfect for cocktails and dining.

Salon I (154sqm) can accommodate between 30 and 145 guests for meetings and up to 150 people for banquets and cocktails. Salon II and III (each 72sqm) offer quality meeting venues with breakout areas that seat up to 50 people in a range of possible layouts. They are also suitable for cocktail parties with up to 50 guests.

But perhaps the best place to hold a cocktail party, product launch or grand dinner would have to be the Waterfront Bar and Terrace. The ambient interior makes for a memorable indoor function, while the outdoor terrace boasts a seating capacity of 150 with spectacular views of the island horizon.

Those wanting to truly appreciate the Hong Kong skyline during the day and night should consider booking the rooftop pool deck. It is a good choice for romantic cocktail receptions or fully catered al-fresco dining.

The two Presidential Suites are true to their name. They offer contemporary elegance, classic undertones and unrivalled luxury, serving as a premium choice for smaller meetings, cocktail parties and dinners. The floor area of each suite exceeds 300sqm and can fit up to 50 guests for standing buffets or cocktails.

Group dining

The hotel’s seven restaurants offer a multicultural selection of European al-fresco, traditional Japanese barbecue, premium grilled food, classic Cantonese and Continental buffets.

If live-cooking whets the appetite, the Promenade is a clear winner. It offers floor-to-ceiling harbour views, marble flooring and plush seating. There is also an extended VIP area.

Victoria Harbour’s signature dining and entertainment venue has a warm and stylish bar with live music played almost daily, from Mondays to Saturdays. There is also an ambient harbour-front terrace that is ideal for having lunch, dinner or a drink.

Fans of rustic décor and traditional charm should consider booking Robatayaki. It features rooms lined with old-world oak and traditional Japanese barbecued food cooked on open grills.

For a more contemporary and sociable setting, there is a naturally lit café tucked away in a quiet corner of the hotel’s regal lobby. Customers can indulge themselves with cakes, pastries and chocolates prepared on-site by experienced pastry chefs.

There is also a private pier on the waterfront, giving guests the convenience of hopping on a ferry and commuting to and from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
