Resources showcase to unearth investment options

QUEENSLAND companies Mt Isa Metals, Bow Energy, Metallica Minerals and Chesser Resources will join a pile of Australian resource companies for the third annual Gold Coast Resources Showcase.
The showcase is one of Australia’s leading investor-focused conferences, specifically designed for small - mid cap ASX companies pitching opportunity to high net worth and sophisticated retail investors.
Managing director of Vertical Events, Stewart McDonald, says a showcase of this calibre would also suit investor groups as well as those managing their own superannuation funds. McDonald believes the Gold Coast’s investor community is an untapped source of support for resources companies.
“Investors on the Gold Coast have responded enthusiastically to the event because they are getting to hear from a range of companies they have not previously heard from, exposing them to some great investment opportunities,” he says.
“Traditionally, resources companies predominately focus on presenting at events in Melbourne and Sydney, (but) the success of this event proves the Gold Coast investor community is a group that should not be ignored.”
Chesser Resources managing director Rick Palenta, says the conference has a reputation of attracting investors who are looking to put their money specifically into commodities.
“Compared to other resources conferences, attendees to this conference are serious about investing. They are not your average retail investor, they are high net worth individuals,” he says.
The event will be held from June 11-12 at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort Hotel on the Invitation is by way of registration.
A list of conference speakers and registration details can be accessed from Vertical Event’s website at: www.verticalevents.com.au.
