REGUS 'STARTS UP' BRISBANE

REGUS 'STARTS UP' BRISBANE
REGUS' Brisbane footprint has doubled over the past two years, and the company has just launched its Riverside Centre today, in line with a growing trend toward flexible working options.

The workplace provider, which provides fully serviced spaces for 1.5 million workers across 104 countries, has observed increasing demand among Brisbane-based companies for co-working spaces, pay-as-you-go offices and drop-in business lounges.

The rise in the acceptance and take-up of flexible working conditions has led Regus to double its size over the past two years to six locations across the city.

Regus Australia and New Zealand CEO Paul Migliorini says these hubs are evidence that Brisbane is riding a wave of transformation.

"Brisbane is one of the fastest-growing regions in Australia, averaging 4.7 per cent growth between 2001 and 2011," says Migliorini.

"The Brisbane economy accounts for almost half (48 per cent) of Queensland's economic output and 9 per cent of Australia's as a whole.

"It is encouraging to see companies in Brisbane embracing new ways of working, and empowering their staff to make the most of technology and cloud computing to work flexibility.

"Regus has decided to set the standard of high quality-working environments that will help our customers role out flexible working, and attract and retain a talented local workforce.

Brisbane Marketing CEO John Atkien says Regus offers a valuable service to a range of workers, including startups, multinationals and businesses interesting in flexi-work plans.

"At Brisbane Marketing we are committed to supporting investment in Brisbane and I congratulate Regus on the launch of the newly renovated Regus' Riverside centre," says Atkien.

"Regus plays a key role in helping out-of-state businesses into Queensland and also helping local businesses with valuable tools for flexible work."

Regus' Riverside Centre provides shared office spaces with access to facilities including business lounges with Wi-Fi access, video communications suites, individual work pods, and flexible hi-tech meeting rooms.
