Purcell Chadwick & Skelly founder joins Bennett & Philp

Bill Purcell has been appointed as a director at Bennett & Philp Lawyers, bringing his entire team and the long standing name of Purcell Chadwick & Skelly to the table.

Purcell is an accredited property law specialist who will add his expertise to Bennett & Philp's real estate section.

He and his team will expand Bennett & Philp's legal services for all matters which relate to property including real estate, property and property development and stamp duty.

Having an extensive legal career, Purcell was awarded the Queensland Law Society's President's Medal in 2015 for services to the legal profession and is currently a QLS senior councillor.

At present, he practices contract (including landlord and tenant) disputes, industrial, commercial and residential conveyancing and unit and land development.

Purcell has experience practising in a range of legal fields ranging from, finance and securities, commercial litigation, property litigation, town planning applications and appeals, contract disputes, valuation objections and appeals, wills and deceased estates.

The move to Bennett & Philp wraps up a long list of professional achievements for Purcell who began his career as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1965.

He was also admitted as a solicitor to the High Court of Australia and in 1967 founded his long-standing firm.

Bennett & Philp's letterhead has now been updated to read "incorporating Purcell, Chadwick & Skelly".
