New plan for raptis man

ONE of the long-standing directors of the financially crippled Raptis Group has resigned.

Ian Morrison spent 23 years with the group, both as a director and manager of planning and design. He delivered all of the town planning and development requirements to enable construction of the landmark projects for which the Raptis Group has stamped its mark on the city.

“The first significant development I worked on with Jim was the original Raptis Plaza in the early 1980s,” says Morrison.

“The city skyline represents a reasonable sample of the projects I worked on over the years. Most recently I assisted the Brookfield Multiplex and ANZ Bank consortium to obtain their approvals from Council to allow the Hilton project to formally commence.

“Jim and I have agreed that it is now timely for me to move on and spread my wings into the wider business community. I have tremendous respect for Jim and the knowledge and experience I have gained from working with him is invaluable.”

Morrison’s new business venture is Lima Consulting, a niche planning and development service.
