MOSH is the new men's health startup backed by the founders of Tinder

Getting men to seek help for their health can often be difficult, but a Sydney startup is hoping to buck the trend.

Backed by the founders of Tinder MOSH is an end-to-end digital healthcare hub for men that is putting the power of telemedicine in the pockets of Aussie men nationwide.

Founded by two best mates, David Narunsky and Gabe Baker, MOSH tailors treatments and advice for a range of ailments including hair loss, sexual health, and more.

Tinder founders Sean Rad and Justin Mateen recently backed MOSH with a commitment to the ongoing funding requirements of the business as it expands its offering.

The investment is a coup for Narunsky and Baker, with the founders of Tinder recognising MOSH as a potential leader in the tech-focused healthcare market.

"We are thrilled to be working with MOSH to help make Australia's healthcare environment more accessible," says Rad.

"The health experience is crying out for a change, and we believe in MOSH's leadership team to deliver a simple and high-quality experience people are looking for."

MOSH was founded after Narunsky and Baker recognised there was a significant gap in the market for a men's health-tech platform.

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Australian men do not prioritise their health, with men less likely to visit a GP than women.

Additionally, they discovered that existing offerings to treat 'embarrassing' health conditions seemed salesy, exploitative, and ineffectual.

MOSH works by users completing an interactive questionnaire to assess their needs. The app then weeds out people with medical conditions that are not appropriate for telehealth.

The patient is then connected with a doctor via a video consult and a treatment plan is developed.

MOSH then delivers products to the customer via a pharmacy based on a flexible subscription model.

The startup has partnered with Australian doctors, nurses and pharmacists to make the process possible.

With telemedicine fast becoming more accessible and with Australians more technology literate than ever MOSH could very well fast become a leader in the market.
