MooGoo signs deal for major New Zealand roll out

MooGoo Skin Care has signed a lucrative deal with ANZ Pharma, a leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products in New Zealand and the Pacific region.
The contract, expected to generate $160,000 in retail sales every six weeks once roll out is completed, is hot on the heels of the Gold Coast-based company's recent $100,000 deal with South Korean pharmaceutical giant Green Cross.
"Even though New Zealand is only across the ditch and lots of Kiwis have been buying MooGoo online for years, we haven't had a huge presence in stores there until now," said MooGoo Skin Care Founder Craig Jones.
"It is incredible watching something we make here on the Gold Coast loaded into a container to help people so far away. We primarily export to the United Kingdom and we are especially big in Ireland. At the moment we are only in eight stores in New Zealand but we expect that to change very soon.
"We would like to see New Zealand become our second Ireland similar population, similar temperature and environment, leading to similar skin conditions, especially eczema and dryness. We believe we have products that can help certain people experiencing such skin conditions.
"We send a shipping container of our MooGoo products to Ireland every six weeks and this equates to about $160,000 in retail sales for every container sent. Given New Zealand has a similar population, I believe that is the potential once people across the country start to have easy access to our products."
Two representatives from ANZ Pharma, a naturopath and product trainer, visited MooGoo this month in preparation for a full-scale distribution roll-out across NZ over the next few months.
"The two New Zealanders were given training about every product in the MooGoo range and will now be in a position to support staff over there in pharmacies and health food stores where the products will be sold."
Jones said he expected sales to grow significantly over the next 12 months given New Zealanders were large consumers of natural products.
"The whole country is non-GMO - even crops are non-GMO. No fresh vegetables, fruit or meat sold in New Zealand is genetically modified. Our milk protein for MooGoo products actually comes from New Zealand because it is non-GMO.
"New Zealanders are known world-wide for being an early adopter of natural products."
New Zealand and Australia signed a Free Trade Agreement in 2009 with the ASEAN regional block of 10 countries. Australian businesses currently export A$13 million worth of product and services to New Zealand the nation is our sixth biggest trading partner.
