MAYORAL CANDIDATE DOUGLAS TO ADDRESS UDIA

MAYORAL CANDIDATE DOUGLAS TO ADDRESS UDIA

SURFERS Paradise councillor and mayoral contender Susie Douglas will address a Gold Coast Logan UDIA gathering at BMD Northcliffe Surf Life Saving Club on August 3.

Cr Douglas, who is tasked with the arduous job of heading the city’s Economic Development and Tourism Committee, will be joined by a constituent who is a leader of another domain, Shannon Eckstein. Eckstein is a six-time Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain series champ who is hungrily eyeing off a seventh title in the forthcoming summer.

The Surfers Paradise division has undergone, and continues to undergo, enormous urban transformation with the development of the Soul super tower, the $700m Hilton towers, the $25 million Surfers Paradise Foreshore Redevelopment, and the planned $6m Cavill Avenue upgrade and the Gold Coast Rapid Transit.

Douglas will outline her position on the best future for the property development industry on the Gold Coast.
