Entrepreneur's community spirit helps hundreds of Aussie kids

Daniel Stoten believes that giving back to the community is a true hallmark of Aussie spirit.

Stoten is the entrepreneur behind Localsearch, an online and offline marketing agency which spans more than 200 cities and regional towns to help Australian businesses raise brand awareness and reach more customers.

As his company has grown over the years, Stoten's connection to the communities he works in has grown alongside it.

He says that as a business owner, it's important to notice where your communities need support and do what you can to reach out.

It's this philanthropic streak which inspired Stoten to create the Localsearch Little Legends program, which has supported more than 330 football clubs across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory since 2009.

"My clients would talk about their kids, and how they needed new sports uniforms. Or knew a junior club that was struggling to reach healthy membership levels, and I thought, we can do better than this," he says.

"As the business has evolved, I have stood by this sponsorship program. It is something that means a lot to me, knowing kids are getting the equipment, uniforms and support they need to play their favourite sport and generate little Aussie legends."

The program supports eligible clubs for a 3-year period, who receive $500 per year (excluding tax) and an opportunity to be on the front cover of the Localsearch directory for their area.

Stoten invites any team interested in applying for sponsorship in the Little Legends program to head to sponsorships.localsearch.com.au to review their eligibility and submit an application.
