DREAMWORLD RECOVERY CONTINUES

DREAMWORLD RECOVERY CONTINUES

REVENUES at Dreamworld continue to improve following the tragedy at the theme park in October last year, when four people died on the Thunder River Rapids Ride.

The theme parks division of Sydney-based Ardent Leisure (ASX:AAD) recorded unaudited revenue of $4.4 million during February 2017, down 35 per cent on the previous corresponding period (pcp).

It is part of an ongoing trend for Ardent, which shows people are slowly returning to its Dreamworld park on the Gold Coast.

In December 2016, revenues were down 63.5 per cent on the pcp, and then in January 2017 revenues were down 44 per cent.

Ardent is about to launch a new brand campaign for Dreamworld, featuring the song Pure Imagination performed by Guy Sebastian supported by the Yugambeh Youth Choir.

Ardent Leisure is trading up 3.22 per cent at $1.60 per share on the ASX at 11:12am AEDT this morning.
