DIMMI NETWORK GETS IVVY ADVANTAGE

A GOLD Coast technology company has joined forces with Australia's largest online restaurant network to serve up a new booking system that is set to revolutionise the industry.

The iVvy booking system, which has been dubbed the 'Expedia or Wotif' solution for Australia's event needs, has partnered with Dimmi to bring restaurants and event organisers together.

Dimmi, which works with close to 3000 of the country's best restaurants and has a customer base of more than 600,000 food lovers, says the partnership was a no-brainer.

"For many years restaurants have been asking us how we can help them better sell their private dining rooms, functions and events and we have never really had an answer," says Stevan Premutico, CEO and founder of Dimmi.

"But through this partnership with our friends at iVvy, I am happy to say that we have a solution to help capture more bookings in their private dining rooms, functions and events.

"We are excited about the partnership for a couple of main reasons (we can) boost restaurant's revenue, help them better manage their functions and events than ever before, and provide them with a web-based function solution to help them run a better business."

It has been described as a 'partnership made in heaven' by iVvy.

"By coming together we now have the opportunity to be able to help monetise that through greater opportunities of revenue and efficiencies overall," says Lauren Hall, CEO and founder of iVvy.

"We are really excited about working together because this is really going to shift this industry into a better and more efficient environment."

The iVvy platform ultimately allows event organisers to search, compare and book through what is Australia's first central registry.

Hundreds of clients including Telstra, RioTinto, Fairfax Media, Woolworths, the Queensland Government and Harvey Norman have contributed to more than nine million ticket sales and transactions on the iVvy platform.
