Clipper cuts new tenancy deal

AUGUST 2010

CLIPPER Motor Yachts has relocated from Runway Bay Marina to a 120sqm waterfront location at Gold Coast City Marina Coomera.

The company has signed a one-year lease with two three-year options. The brand will look to take advantage of increased visibility and water access to coincide with the launch of its Cordova 60 and Clipper 40 models to be showcased on a new 30m sales berth.

Managing director Brett Thurley, says despite a soft three months in sales, enquiries were coming through the door from its key market of semi-retired and retirees.

“Our head office remains at Rivergate Marina in Murarrie in Brisbane, however this new location will assist with our Gold Coast business, commissioning and handover of vessels along with servicing our Gold Coast area owners,” says Thurley.

The company spent around $20 million renovating its new premises which were previously tenanted by a marine auction company.
