FIFTY hectares of undeveloped land and employment growth that is nearly 30 per cent higher than the Gold Coast over the next thirty years - demand is fast outpacing supply for this Gold Coast suburb.

A wave of growth is expected to continue rolling over Robina, captured in this more than $103 million in residential sales over the past year and strong commercial take-up.

Robina Group director Tony Tippett (pictured right) says commercial property in Robina has one of the lowest vacancy rates on the Gold Coast at just six per cent.

Real estate project marketing firm, Austra Group, has just signed a three year lease for a 285sqm space in the $14 million CityPods development (render pictured), the latest in a string of sales and leases to businesses including AMBS Solutions, Gold Coast Property Rentals, medical device distribution specialist Pyramed, and design and construction management company Airport Consulting Group.

Tippett is "fast-tracking a number of new projects" surrounding Robina Town Centre in an attempt for supply to keep up with demand. He cites Robina Group's residential projects Riverlily and CityVillage, as well as commercial developments CityPods and The Rocket, as all seeing strong sales in recent times.

Robina Group will roll out further stages of its $200 million residential development CityVillage this year, and intends to launch a new residential village in the first half of the year.

"We sold more than 200 new residential properties in Robina last year across Riverlily, CityVillage and Bohème," says Tippett.

"Our terrace homes at CityVillage and Riverlily were extremely popular with both owner occupiers and investors, first home buyers taking advantage of the Great Start Grant and baby boomers looking to downsize.

"Population growth figures for Robina through to 2036 are forecast to grow by approximately 37.5 per cent, while employment in Robina is projected to increase by over 74 per cent over 20 years, much higher than the Gold Coast figure of 46.7 per cent.

"We are expecting approximately 510 new jobs per annum and demand is proving this.

"As the rest of the city reaches maturity we are very much still a significant central growth area, which provides broad acre, green space development solutions for both residential living and for the corporate and business sector."
