BENTLEYS EYES NZ GROWTH

BENTLEYS EYES NZ GROWTH

ACCOUNTING advisory firm Bentleys will bolster its regional footprint, after opening an office in New Zealand.

The Auckland site is a major coup for the Brisbane-based business, buoying its strategic target of reaching 20 locations by 2018.

Bentleys Australia executive officer Mark Chapman (pictured) says the development utilises the strong levels of trans-Tasman trade and investment.

“Bentleys is strengthening its position as a mid-tier accounting firm with a defined regional growth plan,” Chapman says.

“A direct presence in New Zealand enables us to provide seamless accounting, taxation and business advisory services to an increasing number of our clients who are expanding regionally.

“We are acting on this demand with geographic expansion and through our close ties with other members within our international network, Kreston.”

Nick Den Heijer and Roger Thompson will spearhead Bentleys New Zealand, moving across from Staples Rodway.

Thompson says the accounting profession has undergone significant changes in recent years.

“Nick and I saw an opportunity to build a firm using innovative technologies and smarter infrastructure which will deliver efficiencies and value for our clients,” Thompson says.

Den Heijer says they were attracted to the Bentleys name and ideology, allowing them to direct operations while providing access to market expertise.

The New Zealand office will have a portfolio comprised of property development, construction, financial services, IT and childcare clients.
