AURIZON will deliver a 4 per cent pay rise to 1500 employees each year for the next three years.
An agreement has been reached in return for major productivity improvements and the removal of legacy provisions, following a positive vote by employees on the proposed Construction and Maintenance Enterprise Agreement.
There were 886 votes for and 185 votes against the agreement.
Fair Work Commission is currently lodging the agreement which will come into effect seven days after its approval.
"After two years of bargaining in good faith with unions, the positive vote on this Enterprise Agreement is a very welcome result," says John Stephens, Aurizon executive vice president human resources.
"This will be the catalyst for significant productivity enhancements and improved workplace flexibility."
Other provisions provided in the agreement include the removal of rail passes for the majority of employees.
