HOWE FACES 10 CHARGES

A FORMER Surfers Paradise business executive has been charged with 10 counts relating to allegedly stealing as a servant.

The court was told Rowena Howe (pictured), 35, allegedly stole $241,000 while employed as chief executive of Surfers Paradise Alliance. She left the organisation last year.

Howe did not appear in Southport Magistrates Court. Her lawyer was not required to enter a plea on her behalf.

The matter was adjourned until May 9 for further mention.
