BUSINESS marketing options have never been so affordable, far-reaching, varied and for many business owners, overwhelming.

While the flood of social media options such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube provide exciting new marketing and advertising opportunities, traditional marketing options aren’t giving up without a fight.

Gold Coast market agency MeMedia is hosting a breakfast seminar aimed at educating business owners on how to better leverage the plethora of marketing tools available.

MeMedia director Chris Hogan says traditional avenues such as television, print, radio and out-of-home advertising have become more powerful and more affordable in the face of new-age competition.

“Traditional media avenues have also been proven to be successful, time and time again,” he says.

“Small-to-medium business owners will agree that most of their time is spent working ‘in’ their businesses rather than ‘on’ them. Business owners all too often need to take a break from the daily grind and invest in themselves first for their businesses to really flourish.

“This event will enable them to obtain up-to-date, localised advertising information to empower them to make more informed decisions about where their marketing dollars can be spent, to maximise results.”

Among the line up of expert media publishers will be representatives from Business News Publications, NBN Gold Coast as well as Go Transit, ReachLocal, Salmat and 92.5 Gold FM.

Topics will include outdoor mobile advertising, the role of print advertising in the modern media landscape and how consumers use the internet. The event takes place on May 3 at the Bond University Club.
