Business by the beach at Kingscliff

AS the commercial property sector enjoys its best prospects for 17 years, the New Tweed Coast's first purpose-built professional centre is poised to launch.

With more than 25 per cent of the complex already sold to a range of local businesses, the $15m Kingscliff Central is 'future-ready' - tech-enabled with high-speed broadband, voiceover telephony and free calls between tenants.

Designed and developed by the Azure Sea Developments partnership of Mark Tanner and Dan Black, Kingscliff Central caters to the local business community and the wave of Seachange migrants from southern states wishing to combine lifestyle with livelihood.

The property boasts 818m² of ground-floor retail, suited to boutiques and high-profile tenants, with an additional 2004m² of prestige office space on the 1st and 2nd floors, available in various sizes from 30m² to 103m², which can be tailored to suit individual requirements.

Other features include parking for up to 59 cars, central high-speed lift and communal roof terrace, with spectacular ocean views.

Prices are from $299,000 to $650,000 and the development is slated for February commencement and end of 2007 completion.

According to figures released by the Property Council of Australia and Investment Property Databank, commercial property returned 15.26 per cent in the year to June, up on the already strong 14 per cent recorded the previous year.
