80 MILLION CHINESE GET A TASTE OF AUSSIE LUXURY

80 MILLION CHINESE GET A TASTE OF AUSSIE LUXURY

UPMARKET property owners looking to sell may get an extra 80 million Chinese looking over their offering thanks to an agreement struck by an Australian company and an Asian online property portal.

Loganholme-based Connect MyProperty, through a partnership with Chinese real estate giant E-House (China) Holdings Limited, has struck a deal to showcase Australian opportunities to the Property Buyers Club in China.

The club is one of the biggest property portals in China, and the arrangement has kicked off with a first look at Sanctuary Cove as part of a campaign that could involve tours by Chinese investors of Australia’s top residential resort developments and luxury properties.

Connect MyProperty director Preston Richardson says the new links with China will give Australian developers, builders, and real estate agents the opportunity to promote their projects to the Property Buyers Club’s 80 million members.

“We partner with Australian real estate agents, developers and builders to market premier properties and developments, according to buyer profiles and preferences,” Richardson says.

“Many of these groups have been selling premier Australian properties and developments to the market in China for years, but they are talking to us because, in addition to our online services, we provide the critical offline, face-to-face contact with buyers in China.

“This enables our partners to leverage cost efficiencies and improve productivity.

“We also showcase premier Australian properties and developments at expos across China to expose our listings and build long-term relationships and credibility with buyers.

“This is an exciting partnership and we look forward to working closely with E-House to help continue enhancing Australia’s positive reputation as a place to do business and invest.

“The indirect flow-on effects of our partnership have the strong potential to increase the productivity of the construction industry by creating more infrastructure investment opportunities, more developments, and more construction jobs for Australians.”

SINA Haiwai Real Estate general manager Irene Zheng was among a delegation from China that has taken a familiarisation tour of Sanctuary Cove.

“We have been looking for an independent partner in Australia for some time that could help bridge the gap between Australia and China such as language, cultural customs, and regulations in both countries,” says Zheng.

Connect MyProperty was established by Richardson earlier this year.
