THREE NEW AUSTRALIAN OFFICES FOR BARRY NILSSON

THREE NEW AUSTRALIAN OFFICES FOR BARRY NILSSON
BARRY Nilsson Lawyers has continued its national expansion, opening new offices in Adelaide and Hobart and Sydney.

The Adelaide office comes through a merger with Winter Hilditch & Fotheringham (WHF), which brings eight new staff to the firm including partners Andrew HIlditch, Bronwyn Ackland and Michael Fotheringham.

WHF has more than 30 years' experience acting for overseas and Australia-based insurers, and managing claims on behalf of underwriters and their insureds, including a strong presence in the London insurance market.

The firm already had a presence in Sydney, but moved to new and larger premises at Level 19, 60 Castlereagh St. Six new solicitors have also joined the national insurance practice team: Partners Peter Harvey and Henry Silvester, Special Counsel Melinda Drew, two Senior Associates, Julia Byrnes and Helen Li, and Solicitor Jacinta Daher. The firm's Sydney team now includes 20 solicitors, including six partners.

Barry Nilsson's new Hobart office is an established practice run by partner Peter Forbes-Smith alongside special counsel Steve Smith, senior associate Emily Page and associate Alzena Ali.

These additions follow the formation in of Barry Nilsson Lawyers' family law practice in Melbourne six months ago, which now has three legal staff.

"We have expanded carefully and selectively by only recruiting staff who are attracted to our values and client-focused service, and I am confident the new recruits will uphold our high standards," Barry Nilsson Managing Partner Leembruggen (pictured) said.
