The firms, which both have offices in Brisbane, officially merged on May 2 under the combined brand of Sajen Legal which has retained all existing directors from both firms.
Comprising the new board is Kyle Kimball, Glenn Ferguson, Angelo Venardos, and Timothy Borham.
Kimball says the merger was inspired by an intertwined history, and sealed by the firms' shared expertise in the Queensland legal market.
"After a combined history of almost 50 years, we've decided that it's time to join forces," says Kimball.
"Glenn Ferguson and I worked together as young lawyers and we've maintained a friendship ever since.''
Ferguson agrees that the merger will be mutually beneficial for the existing clients of both firms.
"We now have the scale and knowledge base to make life even easier for our clients," say Ferguson.
"We will continue to focus on business law while also adding more depth and variety to our services."
Kimball says the merged firm will also be better equipped to navigate a changing legal industry.
"The legal profession is changing along with other professions," says Kimball.
"We're being proactive in ensuring that we're meeting the expectations of clients in a changing world."
Both firms have a strong reputation in Queensland, with lawyers from both teams having worked extensively on cornerstone cases and boards in the State.
