The firm is aiming the new app at Australian expatriates working and living in the US and UK, Canada, China Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Chairman Justin Dowd says myAussieDivorce provides an outline of the key elements a potential client can need to know if they are considering a divorce or separation, particularly while living and working overseas.
“myAussieDivorce will ensure Watts McCray can now provide their knowledge and experience directly to Australians living and working in Asia,” says Dowd.
“While we have always provided such services, we are now doing so in a way that supports the changes in lifestyle, behaviour and technology that these potential expat clients are displaying.”
He says demand for legal information from expats is growing due to Australians being more and more sought after as professionals across Asia, “as they are mobile, they need smart innovative technology to access information quickly, and Watts McCray is at the forefront of this”.
“myAussieDivorce will outline target information for Australian Expats on divorce, de-facto, child support, child custody, property settlement, pre-nup or de-facto agreements and separation issues in an easy to read format.
“Potential expat clients can contact Watts McCray directly from the app via phone or via the email contact page and also link directly with Watts McCray's mobile and main web pages for more in-depth information.
“Watts McCray will also provide face to face Asia local services if a matter progresses.”
Managing Partner Greg McCray adds the app is another useful innovation for overseas Australians needing family law and divorce information quickly.

myAussieDivorce will be available to Apple, Android and Windows smart phone and tablet users and free to download from their respective app stores and via Watts McCray web sites.
