HOW TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR CAREER THROUGH TRAINING

HOW TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR CAREER THROUGH TRAINING

GIG economy, remote working, and freelance Friday are more than just buzz terms; our workforce is changing, and so too is its driver: education.

But it's not the online education revolution you might think. As industry insiders speculate online education and course delivery will be the way of the future, Melbourne startup training.com.au discovered something a little different.

Training.com.au got to the bottom of what Australian workers want, and what's holding them back. In a survey of nearly 3000 respondents, 43 per cent said they would seek alternative employment in the next three years, and 41 per cent described their lack of qualifications as their greatest professional limitation.

However, of those considering making the switch, just 28 per cent said they were interested in an online-only learning format, with 37 per cent advising an online-offline hybrid would be their preference.

The Melbourne startup, whose bread and butter is comparing courses, believes the traditional classroom still has its best years ahead.

With cities more connected yet lonelier than ever, and workers struggling to connect in real time as technology takes over, there's something to be said about the intrinsic value of coming together to learn.

Regardless of individual preferences, training.com.au believes the key for education providers will be getting the online-offline balance right, with most on their database already reflecting this and delivering this to 300,000 monthly users.

Comparing courses has never been easier with training.com.au doing all the hard work for you. Learners can select from 800 quality TAFE, University and Short Course options in everything from Business to Beauty all at the click of their fingers.
