IT SECTOR DEMANDS OFFICE SPACE IN BRISBANE

BRISBANE-based IT services provider Deployus has secured a 384sqm suite on the ground floor of 725 Ann Street in Fortitude Valley to accommodate its rapidly growing operations.

CBRE's Michael Skarparis and Mel Pikos, in conjunction with Chase Commercials' James Haining, negotiated the three-year lease deal for an annual rental of $214,000. The property was leased along with eight onsite car parks.

Skarparis says the property is well suited to support Deployus' continued business growth and was well located in an exposed location, near public transport.

"Deployus has been organically growing and this property presented an outstanding opportunity to upgrade its office in terms of quality and also reduce overall costs in the process," Mr Skarparis explained.

Haining commented on the deal: "Deployus had been on the hunt for a new site for almost six months off the back of its current site about to be developed at West End. 725 Ann Street ticked all the boxes and we were able to get a deal done."

The IT sector is emerging as one of the most active sectors of the office market, driving new activity across the city, particularly in the near city pockets of Fortitude Valley and Newstead.

This deal follows recent deals in the near city office market with a number of established and new groups including Toshiba, Saleslink, CSG, Gameloft, Halfbrick and ConnX.
