CORE Architecture has signed a 10-year lease on a three-level commercial site on Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley, which was formerly a café hot spot and the site of an art gallery.
Managing director Caroline Tracey says the relocation was due to an expanding team on the back of strong growth, with a need for creative work.
“The building has a unique character and welcoming atmosphere, boasting high ceilings, open space, stone walls, and exposed timber work, while the large courtyard and commercial kitchen will certainly come in handy for future corporate functions and staff events,” says Tracey.
Savills agents Shane Van Beest and Alastair Dunlop negotiated a six year lease with a four year option on around 800sqm of office space.
Van Beest says the lease is proof hat well presented and well-priced inner city commercial properties can lease in a softer market.
“Enquiry remains buoyant for properties within good proximity to public transport, staff amenities and access to the CBD,” says Van Beest.
“When they first inspected the property they could see the potential of the premise to provide their company with a unique and outstanding corporate address.”
