Springfield tower open for business

THE $60 million Springfield Tower has been launched in the Parkside Business Precinct in the fast growing Western Corridor.
Cardno, Suncorp, GHD Engineering and NEC are a few of the companies that have moved in to the 10-storey tower on Sinnathamby Boulevard.
Springfield Land Corporation chairman Maha Sinnathamby, says the 4-star green rated tower is a major leap forward in creating a business district in the heart of the west.
“Springfield’s CBD has twice the land area of Brisbane’s, so it makes sense for businesses to move. It’s also cheaper, has unmatched IT infrastructure and most importantly employees don’t have to spend hours commuting to and from work,” says Sinnathamby.
“Brisbane’s CBD is choking on its own success, the city is growing so fast that infrastructure can’t keep up.”
The tower, designed by Haysom Architects and built by Hutchinson Builders, is one of the ‘greenest’ in Queensland’s history. Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale says the tower is a milestone for the Western Corridor, at a time when there is a need to encourage new businesses and job creation in the thriving area.
“With the fast paced rate of development and growth in the area, it is timely to locate a council business centre at Parkside,” he says.
