DIGITAL REVAMP FOR TOURISM BUSINESSES

DIGITAL REVAMP FOR TOURISM BUSINESSES
MORE than 150 representatives from the Queensland tourism sector will attend a digital education conference sponsored by the government.

The QTalks initiative will allow attendees to learn digital marketing strategies and technology tips for their businesses, aimed at improving efficiency.

Minister for Tourism Jann Stuckey (pictured) says small business is the cornerstone of Queensland tourism, and the QTalks program will be an ideal way for people to upgrade their online presence with guidance from industry professionals.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for small business owners to gain insight into how digital platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Yelp can be used to optimise commercial exposure and boost marketing strategies,” says Stuckey.

“QTalks is a great opportunity for specialists like Australia’s first professional Instagrammer Lauren Bath and Twitter Executive Oliver Wilton to share their knowledge and experience.”

A recording of the conference will be available online for those unable to attend the event.
