CARDNO FORGING AHEAD IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

A BRISBANE headquartered infrastructure and environmental services firm has won its second consecutive national export award.

Cardno (ASX: CDD) was awarded with the 2014 Business Services honour at the Australian Export Awards which adds to the Infrastructure and Construction award they received in 2013.

Cardno CEO Michael Renshaw accepted the award on the company's behalf and says Cardno has a firm commitment to operational diversity and international expansion.

"We have a strong focus on international business with substantial success in growing our business in the United States, Latin America and in various developing countries," he says.

"Revenue generated from markets outside Australia now account for more than 68% of annual revenue.

"It is an honour to be recognised with this award and it is testament to the dedication and commitment of our more than 8,200-strong team, both here in Australia and in the 100 plus countries in which we work."

The Australian Export Awards is a national program that recognises Australian companies who have achieved sustainable growth through innovation and commitment.

Businesses are measured based on the strength of their international growth, marketing and financial strategies.

Cardno's international projects range from highway projects in the US, global gender equality and womens empowerment projects, improving rural road access in Tanzania and hydro-electric power generation in Ecuador.

Services encompass planning, surveying, engineering and environmental services, as well as project management of development assistance programs internationally.
