TATE BACKS ONLINE TRAINING

TATE BACKS ONLINE TRAINING

LOCAL businesses can learn how to stay ahead of technology trends as part of the federal government’s Digital Enterprise Program (DEP).

DEP provides short courses and mentoring sessions in conjunction with management companies, Gravelroad and Enterprise and Training Company.

Mayor Tom Tate (pictured) says it will boost employment and help the Gold Coast compete with other cities.

“To survive and succeed in the digital age, every business needs the right skills and this program will help position the Gold Coast as a leading digital economy.

“By building more successful businesses, we’re aiming to create more jobs as well,” he says.

Cr Tate says the group sessions cover a range of topics, including search engine optimisation, social media, online marketing, web hosting and analytics.

“This program will certainly give Gold Coast companies an edge when it comes to doing business in the digital environment.”

The DEP is open to small to medium sized businesses and non-profit organisations.
