THE first stage of the $266 million Australand development, Cova, at Hope Island is complete.
The planned 79-berth marina, constructed by Brisbane-based Bellingham Marine, has direct deep water access to the Broadwater via the Hope Island Canal.
The initial 12-berth release in the strata-titled offering includes sizes from 10m to 16m, priced between $54,000 and $84,000.
Australand general manager, Queensland residential division, Richard Fulcher (pictured), says Cova is the only freehold marina berth on the Hope Island Canal.
Mr Fulcher said the completed marina was the first stage of a planned integrated marina precinct, including dining, retail and recreational elements.
“It sweetens the offering for residents and prospective buyers, whether they are boaties or not.”
House, land and marina berth packages are available, some with approval for private pontoons and extended over-water deck options.
The developer worked with Gold Coast-based firm BDA Architecture to create the marina precinct.
Cova has 1.5km of marina and canal frontage with deep water access to the Hope Island Canal and beyond to the Broadwater.
